Sorry our trip is backwards. So this was the last place before it got dark on us. It was about 4:00 p.m. This is called hanging lake. It is in Glenwood Springs Canyon.
These are the sides of the mountains and thelake was down in between them.
This is a hiking trail you could take. Some hikers were just coming out. They said it would take about an hour to get up to another lake. We wished we had arrived a little earlier

I asked the boys if they wanted to swim!
This is the highway going through Glenwood Springs Canyon. We are down on the lower rode. So I am taking the picture looking up. Its quite the stretch of highway.
Here is another view. Not so good, reflection of the glass from the car. Not alot of places to stop unless you take an exit.

This is continuing on East of Grand Junction, Colorado. They have some very interesting mountains.
More scenry going East of Grand Junction, Colorado
A little more!
This is the Colorado River that follows I-70 just East of Colorado clear to Eagle, Colorado.
Photos from the car are hard to take, but tried to get more of the river.
This is the San Rafel Swell. It wasn't a very warm day, but not too bad.
More of the San Rafel Swell
Quite the road going down through the swell.
This is a place called Ghost rock. It located about 30 miles before Green River, Utah.
Austin climbing up the rock. He was having a great time!*!

Austin was the first to find the way up the rock. He thought he was pretty smart.
This was their first attempt up the rock. They found an easier way up.
I said I will watch and take good pictures.
This was a place called Devils Canyon
That little speck in the middle of the picture is Brayden he is following his dad. They are headed at to the end of the peak.
Daniel, Austin and Brayden, my three boys. They were ready to get out and do some exploring. So that is what we did here. They had a great time.
This went quite a ways down. It was a unqiue canyon.
We have taken this trip alot over the past 13 months, but haven't really taken the time to stop at alot of places. There is alot to see. You almost need to break it up into a couple of days, but we thought we may not be coming home this way, we probably will come home through Wyoming, so its not so hard on the vehicles pulling loaded trailers. I-70 is a beautiful ride. You go through quite a few tunnels, but it was getting too dark to take pictures of these. The Eisenhower Tunnel is the boys favorite, it is over a mile long. This is the Continental Divide. Well we just thought we share a little bit of what we have traveled over the past 13 months.
